USING A FLAVOR INJECTOR TO ENSURE A MOIST BIRD

As the holidays draw near, we cherish spending time with friends and loved ones. Now, more than ever, we're reminded of the things that we often take for granted and our gratitude and hope for the future grows even stronger.

I have fond memories of my family gathered around a beautifully set Thanksgiving table. While we loved being together, my siblings and I sat with a mix of excitement and apprehension. You see, our turkey was always like wood, dry, and tough.


My father, a well respected doctor, would take to the turkey, and with the skill and precision of a surgeon, carve all the flesh from the bones of the bird. The result was a heaping pile of turkey shards that looked more like a scene from a macabre “slasher” movie than a Norman Rockwell dinner. Nonetheless, it was the love we shared as a family that always prevailed.

With profound love and gratitude for my father, and the father he empowered me to be, I share with you my recipe for a fool proof, tender and juicy, honey roasted turkey. I promise, your family and guests will say it's the "best turkey they ever had!"
